2018 was a big year for me. It was the first time I consciously allowed myself to paint through cycles. It was the first time I would outrightly asked to not be disturbed when hospitalized. And I only appreciate it now, that even as close to the edge as I felt I was, I gave myself a chance to be free in that way.
